Ron, Pete, and Elliott jump online for a mid-Break, midday show to discuss 2018 ZIPS projections for the Cardinals and Brewers, the stalled player market - particularly Yu Darvish and Manny Machado. They are joined in this episode for the live debut of Ron's oldest son, Braden. Braden weighs in on all of the above topics, as well as his prowess as a GM in MLB: The Show.
Merry Christmas everyone! This week's episode starts hot right out of the box, with Ron, Pete and Elliott discussing the "most overrated" players in baseball. One Cardinals third base target (Evan Longoria) is off the market, and it doesn't appear that the other (Josh Donaldson) is going anywhere. Yu Darvish signs with the Cubs! (#FakeNews). The guys discuss the Marlins disaster, the Le Batard intervew, and the Jeter town hall.
Ron, Elliott and Pete ask a lot of questions regarding the post-Winter Meetings news. Where will Yu be in the spring of 2018? Will the Cards land Longoria and Colome, or Manny Machado? Should the Cubs offer Addison Russell for Machado? How close were the Cubs to landing Ohtani? Do the Cardinals have enough pitching, or is Mozeliak's stance just a front? And what the hell are the Braves thinking?!
The dam has broken. Trades and Free Agent signings are happening all around MLB. Ron, Pete, and Elliott discuss all of the moves that the Cubs and Cards have made thus far. They then launch into the Evil Empire, the disaster that it is Derek Jeter as a MLB owner, and the Cards' trade for Marcell Ozuna. Plus, will the Cards pull the trigger on a Manny Machado trade?
Pete and Ron couldn't help themselves. They had to jump on the podcast to talk about the two 800 pound gorillas in the room and their new teams. Shohei Ohtani and Giancarlo Stanton. The newest Angels and Yankees players. Also, does this clear the runway for the Bryce Harper joining the Cubs in 2019 now that the Yankees may have taken themselves out? Pete thinks it is a possibility.
Ron and Pete celebrate their anniversary by discussing *Shohei Ohtani*, Giancarlo Stanton, Miles Mikolas, Tyler Chatwood, baseball as it used to be, and Rafael Palmeiro's Fantastic Comeback!

Ron and Pete were already planning to record this episode, but with the late-breaking developments in the Shohei Ohtanti sweepstakes, they had to get online to discuss it. The Cubs are in and the Cards are out. Plus, they speculate about what is going to happen now that Giancarlo "Mike" Stanton has narrowed the field down to the Giants and the Cards. They wrap things up with the Cards' contingency plans this offseason, as Ron isn't optimistic that they will land Stanton.
Ron, Elliott, and a little bit of Scott sit in on this episode to cover the latest happenings with free agents and trade talks. They address the two pending deals with Stanton and Ohtani and how these two guys are clogging up some of the other moves that are bound to happen soon.
