The Team is back again, discussing how the Cubs' abysmal performance this year is so different (and yet so similar) to their tanking from 2012 to 2014. They also set the stage for this weekend's series in St. Louis (and Pete and The Boy's plans for Saturday and Sunday). Plus, Shohei Ohtani has completely won over the Team, as they talk about the possibility of him becoming baseball's first Fifty Million Dollar Man. Ron wraps up the baseball portion of this week's podcast recounting the tale of his family's trip to see the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers play the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.
Oh, and then Ron, Elliott, and Pete get into their weekly nerd discussion about the series (season?) finale of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

This is what happens when the Team doesn't discuss the night's show topics before hitting record. This week, you'll enjoy a discussion of Lorenzo Cain's outfield cup check, butt drags, Bob Uecker holding Bob Gibson's hand, the Cubs current stretch of futility, and the Cards sudden rise to the top of a lackluster NL Central race. And, of course, it wouldn't be a TOR episode without a discussion of Star Wars, as the guys talk about Part Five of Obi-Wan Kenobi and the future of Disney Star Wars.

This week's episode is jam-packed with content, as the Baseball Gods have been very good to Ron, Elliott, and Pete. Tony La Russa beclowns himself, Joe Maddon gets fired, and the first rivalry series of 2022 wraps with the Cards taken two out of three from the Cubs. Right on cue, they proceed to get swept by the Rays, but all is right in Ron's world, because BroNeill is back in the lineup!
The Team also explores the big questions this week: Who is more annoying to the opposing fans: Christopher Morel or Brandon Donovan? Is Ian Happ in his final weeks as a Cub? And does Pete hate Happ more than Ron hates O'Neill?
This week's final segment – as always – is for the pop culture nerds. It was bound to happen under Disney, as this week's episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi was terrible. If only we had known that you can hide a small human under a coat and nobody would notice, we could have gotten away so much more as kids.

Ron, Elliott, and Pete get together before Memorial Day to discuss disappointments, including the 2022 Cubs and Paul DeJong. Ron also survives a June bug attack to discuss the recent call-ups of Nolan Gorman and Matthew Liberatore, and how much of the Cards' 2022 season rides on the pitching staff's ability to answer the call.
Also, The Salsa is back!
The guys wrap this week's episode with a review of the Willow and Andor trailers, the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi, and "Pete's Picks" for movies now in theaters.

June begins with an extended five-game series between the Cubs and Cards at Wrigley and the middle of the week delivered one of the best Star Wars episodes ever produced. Add in a phenomenal addition to the Top Gun story, and the month is off to a brilliant start.
And yet, that wasn't the best thing to happen this week, as Nick Castellanos has done it again!
