Ron, Elliott, and Pete get together before Memorial Day to discuss disappointments, including the 2022 Cubs and Paul DeJong. Ron also survives a June bug attack to discuss the recent call-ups of Nolan Gorman and Matthew Liberatore, and how much of the Cards' 2022 season rides on the pitching staff's ability to answer the call.
Also, The Salsa is back!
The guys wrap this week's episode with a review of the Willow and Andor trailers, the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi, and "Pete's Picks" for movies now in theaters.

June begins with an extended five-game series between the Cubs and Cards at Wrigley and the middle of the week delivered one of the best Star Wars episodes ever produced. Add in a phenomenal addition to the Top Gun story, and the month is off to a brilliant start.
And yet, that wasn't the best thing to happen this week, as Nick Castellanos has done it again!

Ron, Elliott, and Pete get together on a Sunday night to talk about the Cubs' mid-table performance and rash of injuries, the Cardinals' continued offensive ineptitude (led by their once-promising young outfield), and the in-and-outs of Little League baseball. Don't miss the mid-show cameo from Jabba the Hutt!

TRIGGER WARNING: Pete's Spanish is terrible!
Ron, Elliott, and Pete were back at it this week, the first back-to-back shows all three have done in over a month.
The Cubs suck. The Pirates suck. The Reds have Embraced the Suck.
The Cardinals, on the other hand, are surviving in the same way as they have the last three years. Their offense is inconsistent, and several key position players are carrying some light bats so far, but they continue to prevent their opponents from scoring.
May the Fourth came and went, so the Team discussed the second look trailer for the upcoming Kenobi series on Disney+.

It was Opening Day, but not just any Opening Day! The St. Louis home crowd welcomed back Number 5 as part of a tribute to the Opening Day trio of Pujols, Wainwright, and Molina. Of course, we had Clydesdales, red jackets, and the familiar sounds Busch Stadium III. It was a winner!
North on I-55, the Cubs opened for all of MLB by taking the opener from the Brewers, with the help of unexpected power from their young infielder.
Oh, and Pete missed all of it, including this week's show!

We didn't really want to do a show last week, but we did anyway. Just Elliott and Ron on this latest installment. Because MLB sucks.
The Team went into this week's show with the best of intentions, but then Gerritt Cole and Bobby Manfred opened their big mouths and pissed everybody off, leading to an epic Pete rant at the opening of the show. Add in the disappointing finish to The Book of Boba Fett, and you have all the ingredients for our angriest show ever.
It's not all bad news, though. In the words of Oprah Winfrey, "EVERYONE GETS A DH!", and Ron has five days for MLB to get its $H!T together, or else he deletes his Twitter account.

What do Boba and Elliott have in common? Neither showed up for their own Star Wars show this week, but it all worked out. Instead of Boba we got Mando, and instead of Elliott we got @Holy_Elle. Upgrades if you ask us.

Ron, Elliott, and Pete jump on for a quick baseball recap before switching to the NFL. Football certainly isn't #1 on here, but if you watched any of last week's games, you have to admit that they were all better than the best baseball games of 2021. That's nutz. Speaking of nutz, how about those Bears?!

Technical difficulties resulted in a silent livestream this week, but the Team was still able to record their take on labor negotiations, Jon Lester's Hall of Fame candidacy, and Chapter 3 of The Book of Boba Fett.

After three weeks away from the mics, all the guys are back to usher in the new year! Unfortunately, baseball sucks right now, and we're not shy about our feelings regarding that. The Team discusses the lack of progress in MLB labor negotiations, the danger that baseball runs in losing its fans, the Carlos Correa rumors that just won't end, and Netflix's The Battered Bastards of Baseball.
And for those of you who just can't get enough… Star Wars is cool again though, so of course we finished with a discussion of the first two weeks of The Book of Boba Fett.

The Top Card on Twitter, the Athletic's Katie Woo (@KatieJWoo), jumps on with Ron for a quick, bonus episode to discuss the Cardinals fanbase, fan expectations, what to expect from the Cards rotation in 2022, an appreciation of Yadi's effect on pitchers, and anticipating the resolution of the MLB lockout.

Ron and Pete are joined by The Show Infiltrator this week to not talk about baseball. Permanent Occasional Guest Host, Elliott, makes a HIGHly special guest appearance to discuss Spider-Man: No Way Home and a mixed bag of other pop culture topics.

Nothing like kicking off our sixth year with a Lockout! After three weeks off, the Team of Rivals is joined by The Show Infiltrator in this car heading nowhere fast. We discuss birthdays, lockouts, confusing Cubs free agency, the Cardinals doing very Cardinals things, and the foulness of hard seltzers. What could possibly be next?

The team was without Pete this week, which means it was a great show. Ron and Elliott talked Gold Gloves, GM "business as usual" lines, the CBA, and a look at Obi-Wan concept art. Happy belated Veterans Day to all that have served and those that are serving! To our USMC alum: Semper Fi!

Pete opens this week's show wondering why he always introduces Elliott first. After getting that distraction out of the way, the guys discuss their fervent hopes for this year's World Series (Go Braves!), the history-making "final pitcher at-bat" on Sunday, Oli Marmol, and a host of other topics. Yep, it's a Grab Bag episode. Thank God we have the winter meetings and labor peace to look forward to!

Playoff baseball, umpires with lasers, reviewable plays and emotions were all on the table this week.
